Christine P. Holmes is the new President of Penfield Children’s Center. She joined Penfield after serving fourteen years at Children’s Hospital & Health System in a variety of leadership capacities – most recently as Director of Community Ventures and Advocacy.
“After conducting a thorough national search, we were delighted to find Chris, a candidate who embodies all of the skills and attributes we need to lead us into the next decade,” said Patricia Schuyler, Chairperson of the Penfield Board. “We were particularly impressed with Christine’s unique combination of health care, management, and fund development experience.”
In addition to Children’s Hospital and Health System, Holmes has held management positions with a variety of organizations that advocate on behalf of children and family issues, including the Child Abuse Prevention (CAP) Fund, Family Service America (Alliance for Families and Children) and Prevent Child Abuse America in Chicago. Holmes also serves on numerous local and national agency and organization boards. She holds Bachelors and Masters Degrees in Social Work.
“I’ve been a long time admirer of Penfield Children’s Center,” said Holmes, “and I am honored to serve as the organization’s president. I look forward to working with the excellent Penfield staff and board to continue to implement programs and activities to help improve the lives of the children of this great community.”
