Congratulations to our CFO Paul Ciardo, The Business Journal’s CFO of the year in the Nonprofit Organizations-Small (Annual Income Less than $25 Million) category.
On Sunday, October 19, Penfield hosted a Fall Festival for our families in conjunction with Congregation Shalom.
Christine P. Holmes is the new President of Penfield Children’s Center.  She joined Penfield after serving fourteen years at Children’s Hospital & Health System in a variety of leadership capacities – most recently as Director of Community Ventures and Advocacy.
The annual picnic for Penfield's kids and their families was held on June 25th. Volunteers from GE Healthcare helped serve lunch. 
Once again, Penfield Children’s Center was fortunate to have an Artist in Residence from Madison-based VSA arts of Wisconsin.  Musician Naomi Bodine entertained and taught Penfield kids about the joys of music every Friday morning. 
On February 7, 2008, Penfield welcomed a group of volunteers from the Monitoring Solutions group within GE Healthcare to help our kids celebrate Valentine's Day.

The 2007 Holiday Party at Penfield was a wonderful celebration of the season for our kids and their families.

On May 2, 2007, Penfield Children’s Center embarked on a year-long observance of 40 Years of Helping Kids Shine. 
Penfield kids get a jump on spring by enjoying  the outside Play Yard on a rare warm March day.
Penfield Children’s Center is fortunate once again to host an “Artist in Residence” from the Very Special Arts Early Childhood Artist Residency Program. 
Forty-one children and their parents packed the Kohl’s Family Learning Center at Penfield for face painting and crafts on St Valentine’s Day this year.  The happy faces  tell the story.

More than 700 people attended this year’s annual Holiday Party for Penfield’s kids and their families.

Dozens of excited children at Penfield’s Fall Family Festival enjoyed decorating pumpkins, painting with apples, pumpkin bowling and beanbag toss for prizes, hunting for prizes in leaf piles, face painting and, of course, healthy snacks and punch to wash it all down.

Center-based kids at Penfield had great fun going around the Center’s offices for Trick or Treat this Halloween.  Penfield staff was equally delighted to see the kids dressed up in their creative Halloween costumes.

Wisconsin's Governor Jim Doyle visited Penfield Children's Center on September 7th to announce his new children's initiative "tax credits for child care."
Penfield kids were thrilled at a surprise delivery of 12 huggable bears from members of the Cardiovascular/Metabolic Sales Department of Bristol-Meyers Squibb Company.
When Caden Sanchez graduated from Penfield on his third birthday recently, his mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother joined him to celebrate.
Thanks to Kohl’s Cares for Kids, more than 300 Penfield kids and their families got front row seats at Animal Planet’s Jeff Corwin’s appearance and book signing at the Milwaukee County Zoo.
Kohl’s Department Stores invited Penfield’s kids to walk the red carpet for the premier of the new animated feature Over the Hedge.
